Check this out. John Battelle, if you didn't know, is awesome. The guy is a genius, and he has a knack for pulling off accurate "envisioneering" in the search & media spaces. What I mean by that is if you wanted to know who can predict the future of media, with reasonable accuracy, this would be the guy to read.
I'm flattered that my argument with a former co-worker was highlighted as the "featured comment" and has been for weeks. However, I still disagree completely with the "ex-Yahoo" who posted that somehow, Paid Inclusion is NOT the root cause of the bullshit at Yahoo.
If you didn't notice my other post here take a read. Then consider that Yahoo Answers is doing paid inclusion in Yahoo, and that they don't have to pay for it...they'd be losing money, on a per visitor basis, if they did pay.
Then you realize, I'm right, the anonymous fucktard is plain wrong, and idiots who post on the 'net anonymously to try to "protect" their reputation, HOWEVER, don't have the balls to sack up & back their thoughts with their brand shouldn't be trusted. Bottom line: if you don't have a source, you don't have shit for facts, figures or analysis.
