Getting from here to there: a lesson in prioritization

For the past six months, we've known a few things were "high priority" however, we've gotten everything *but* those high importance tasks done. Who's to blame? Well, the guy that makes the priority list, of course. (That'd be me). Sitting down to figure out what's the most important thing to do, followed by the second, then third, is crucial to building things. However, sitting down to figure out where to go from here is only have the battle.

The harder part is actually sticking to the plan, and not deviating. I'm not advocating biweekly or weekly priority meetings (yuck, who wants to waste time on that?) however, when you layout your strategic goals and then decide on the tactics you believe will get you there, it's important to stick to it. Go the distance, and don't second guess yourself.

(btw, FunAdvice had a record Sunday yesterday, a new all time high, user metrics went north for the first few time in a few weeks, and personally, I'm much happier).

If you want to claim some measure of peace then by all means, stick to plan. If you want to build a migraine headache the size of Mt Everest & teeter on the verge of explosion daily, then by all means, do whatever you want, and don't prioritize. I'm sure that wandering around is just as good as a straight line path to your objectives, right? :)
